Some Alternate Universes That Make Me Giggle

Author Notes: This section may be updated sometimes whenever I find any incorrect quotes sounds good for my OCs lol.

AU Pretend we worked in a hospital but none of us are medically trained

Vasily: "Here comes the anesthesia!" (lift a steel chair)
Anatoli: "Hey Anton, take my photo! The light behind me looking good!" (Pose in front of x-ray light)
Oleg: "A schizophrenic patient asked me to help fighting their demons. Thankfully I am black belted so here we go."
Dmitry: "Ok so I have writing the tutorial of how to heart transplant. Sorry, it's my first time..."
Stepan: (Playing dead in the morgue to scare everyone who try to enter)
Maxim: "Don't forget to shake the medicine bottle syrup before consuming. And do it like this!" (starts to twerk while holding the medicine bottle)
Andrei: "Guys, I can't read this next tutorial that Dima wrote. What should we do next after taking out the aorta???"
Semyon: "Internal bleeding, nurse? I thought that's how supposed to be?"
Ivan: "Whoa, you have cancer? That's good! I have Virgo!"
Vadim: "Their heart rate is down!" (taking out tequila from stash)
Alexei/Vitaly: "Hey I just got your test result, sir. Congrats, your results are all positive!" (yes, both will answer the same)
Fyodor: "Huh? Patient's temperature suddenly dropping? Move outta my way." (bringing a large bowl of boiling water)

Renounce Prose

(Taken from my 2013 Archive)

There was a wooden house in the village near the river.
Inside this house lived a father, a mother and a boy.
The father is a fisherman who work behind the house.
The mother is a mute, so she must brought a board and chalk to talk.
The boy still loved them no matter what.
Until one day a war struck in that village.
The father chosen to be partisan and leave the family with a bullet wound on his chest.
The village also suffered by famine.
The mother and the boy flee from their home to find any luck.
Years later, they finally found a new home and new kind neighbor to help them.
But the luck won't last long, as the mother had strange illness.
The boy worried and sought help, to no avail.
And the mother died in her illness, leaving him with the neighbor.
The neighbor do loved him, but he doesn't trust them.
"Everyone I loved dies unnaturally. I'll just hurt others. I'm destined to be alone"
The boy lived alone on his communal and being independent, despite the neighbor worrying him.
The boy renounced having to accept any love around him.

The Scandal

[Paris, Late July 1937]

On that bustling festival night, Semyon was seen walking with Ivan. Although they were just strolling, the two of them frequently remarked on how the Grand Prix festival was even more spectacular than the October Revolution festival. They briefly stopped at a pastry stall to watch fresh pastries and cream puffs coming out of the oven, then moved on to a clothing boutique where Maxim, Andrei, and Stepan were trying on colorful shirts. They exchanged a quick wave before continuing their walk around the festival grounds. After two hours of walking, Ivan began yawning frequently.

Messy Alternate Universes

Of course, during the building of my OCs between 2013-2016, there are some alternate universes and scrapped stories I made. And I want to share it to you all, because this is still part of my journey.

Alexei, Vitaly and Nina's Dynamic

Warning: Scene in "Late May 1941" section may be uncomfortable for readers (implied assault from woman toward man, and heavy manipulation). It's advised to skip immediately to "31 July 1941" if you don't want to read it.

Messy Sketches and Drawing Part 5

These are the old concept and researches I made when first time joining National Novel Writing Month held in 2013. Like relationship maps, the other characters involved, building lore for 4 main OCs. Note that this is old version, which may clashed with the canon I've posted all of this time. I just want to share as I don't want to forget the journey from just liking a "Red Army Choir" into "Alexandrov Ensemble".

Messy Sketches and Drawing Part 4

These are the rest of messy sketches and drawings that I think it needed to be explained or addressed.

Because it's mostly clashed with the canon story I wrote in here.

Disregarded Attention

[May 1936]

My eyes snapped open; I realised I had woken up in yet another unfamiliar place. I was in a train compartment, with three idiots I loved all still asleep. Dmitry and Vadim are leaning to each other across me. And the bald man Vasily had even brazenly propped his feet onto my lap, his head resting against the compartment window.

"You yokel," I shook my head toward Vasily. I slowly rose from the compartment seat, took Alexei's diary book from the backpack and stepped out to compose myself.

I found myself in the sixth carriage. Gazing out the window on the right side, while also reading what I've been missed for two weeks in the diary. My reflection was faintly visible in the glass, forcing me to reluctantly admit that I was beginning to hate the face staring back at me. It was a face so innocent, suggesting a respectable upbringing. It was the face of a dutiful Soviet youth, utterly unsuited to someone like me, who actually longed to escape this land of iron. My face ought to have been one of angry villain, not this guileless visage.

Vitaly and Vitaly

[21 November 1921]

Knock, knock, knock!

That soft knocking, the priest thought. There is no one who knocked like that except one child. He quickly opened the door and ushered the person inside.

"Lyokha, are you alright?" the priest asked. But then he was shocked to see the boy's clothes stained with blood. "Are you hurt? Who hurt you?"

"No, grandpi..." the boy said, sounding a bit nervous. The old man noticed a drastic change in his grandson's face; the innocence was gone from his eyes. He closed and locked the door from the inside before asking, "You don't seem to be the Lyokha I know. Will you admit the truth to me?"

Above The Dreamline

"Agh!" I screamed, gasping for air. My eyes flew open, and my body jerked awake reflexively. But before I could even catch my breath, I was startled by the unfamiliar surroundings.

Everything was dark. I could only see myself, clad in a brown military uniform. A rucksack hung on my back, and my right hand clutched a combat knife... the very one I had always carried during the war. I recalled that I had been fighting someone; a target I was meant to assassinate. Beyond that, all I could see was blackness. I mustered the courage to stand and walk, searching for something amidst the dark. Yet, for the first time, I felt a paralyzing fear. The temperature was freezing, and my vision began to dim.

Wanted, Arrested

Just imagining if NKVD are bored enough and wants to capture my OCs.

Religion

I know religion usually the most absent thing whenever the story revolves in Soviet Union. But when remembering Alexandrov family are devoted Orthodox who has to hid their belief forever, I think religion is still worth to be explored among my OCs. Just as reminder that each people has their own religious (or non-religious) journey... but I'm not planning to make it as full personality since they still live in Soviet Union. Therefore, the list below was only based on my 2013 imagination that transliterated.

Neighbor Problem

White Terror

[February 1939]

One night, Darya visits Moscow without noticing Dmitry in advance. Her plan was to make a surprise visit that surely will delight Dmitry. Both have already talking about wanting to "upgrade" their relationship into engagement, and yet still cannot be fulfilled as both of them busy with the duty. As Darya finally gets some days off, she immediately packed her travel bag and took train to go to Moscow.

Distorted Redemption Poem

 1. I'll do everything to redeem my sin

Even it costs another sin to replace

2. Because I lost everything

My sister, my love, my friend, and... my other half

I know if only that bastard doesn't interrupt me

Ah... it's too late for me anyway

3. I have my deep regret to my friend

My greed almost took his happiness

For the first time I can't kill him on the spot

    Like everyone else

Because he is my only best friend

4. I really still held my grudge to that bastard

If I'm being resurrected, I'll find him

And kill him as soon as possible before back to afterlife

Languages

Back when first time writing in 2013, I imagine what languages that my OCs can speak in real life. Of course in the story, it will be fully written in English. I am not a polyglot, hehe.

Dmitry Petronov - Russian

Alexei Mikhailov / Vitaly Bodenko - Russian, Ukrainian

Vadim Oktyuchev - Russian, German

Vasily Nandev - Russian

Fyodor Rokossovsky - Russian, English

Oleg Sepnenko - Russian, Ukrainian

Anatoli Cheyko - Russian, Belarussian

Semyon Isayev - Russian, German, Polish, French

Andrei Fatanov - Russian

Stepan Tabanin - Russian, Sakha-Tyla

Ivan Koshchin - Russian

Maxim Laruskiy - Russian

=====

Additional Notes:

1. Fyodor speaks English because he reads a lot of English book too. Usually from the thrift store or black market store, where he can get old worn out book that nobody looks for. His coping mechanism when smoking is not allowed... is by buying all kind of newspapers available and read nonstop. To make himself busy and invisible from his family (unless he has to shield his brothers).

2. Semyon speaks 4 languages because... he's been living for hundred years and travel a lot as a nobleman with magic power. If someone had long lifespan, wealth and magic but cannot even speak more than native language, it's... pathetic. Also Semyon mostly use that language to blend better with locals and get lovers in the past (before settled in 1919 with Veronika and become widower in 1928)

3. The letters between Stepan and his family members are always written in Sakha-Tyla, and it was the only thing that makes him remember his roots.

4. Vadim speaks German because his family used to speak German as second language. Despite he was neglected and abused by his father, he still demanded to learn German just like the other siblings. He never used it in his adult life and ensemble life, until only in 1943 when meeting Wilhelm.

5. Anatoli also speaks Belarussian because his fiancée was a Belarussian.

Fishing

[1936]

The lake is quite empty in this evening, even though the fishes are making ripples on the surface. No fishermen around, to catch those willing fishes. And apparently, this condition made Vitaly sighed in relief a bit.

He actually prefer to just walking around Moscow or watching some entertainment in the theatre. But when he opened the diary last morning, he realised Alexei has made promise to Dmitry to fishing together at one lake at north area. Even Alexei was the one who recommend this lake, based on what he heard between gossips between fish enthusiast in Leningrad. Vitaly facepalmed once again in secret, while slowly staring at Dmitry who preparing the mashed quail egg as the bait.

Conversation At Toilet

When all the members were asleep in their respective barracks, a door suddenly opened from the corner room. Semyon stepped out of the door and closed it gently, then made his way to the special officer's bathroom to empty his bladder. Upon reaching the urinal, he smiled with relief, having been able to sneak without any disturbance.

"Officer's bathroom is always better than a soldier's toilet," Semyon concluded to himself. When he turned around, he was somewhat surprised to see the figure of a young man not far behind him. The young man was obscured by the black shadow of the wall, only a sliver of light illuminating his right eye. But Semyon squinted once more, and finally, he smiled broadly at the young man.

"Oh my, it's you. What a surprise..." Semyon laughed. The young man remained standing upright without making a sound. But a glimpse of his angry brown eyes and a knife flashed at Semyon, ready to fly its point to Semyon's throat.

"You have gone too far, young man. To be a judge with blind eyes, ending someone's beloved although flawed. From now on... what you wanted won't be on your side forever. The only way to fix it... let your original self live on his own, and you will learn healthy life too," advised Semyon, now had his blue eyes now glowing into purple. That young man with brown eyes startled as his gymnastyorka start to blown like a strong wind against him.

"I will spare you as long you won't meddle anymore. Or I will tell you that you have something that will interest the secret police," growled that man.

"We will see. It's me who meddle first, or you start to be offensive," said Semyon with firm.

The strong wind finally stopped. The young man winked as a sign that he believed Semyon, then left that chubby redhead alone at the bathroom.

Ballada O Soldate

Still remember this video?
And now... I want to tell the story behind the MV.

Sadistic Deceit

[May 1943]

A strong wind blew, blowing the fallen leaves from the greenish-brown birch trees. Meanwhile the sky which should have been a bright blue during the day, was now grey from the thick smoke rising. Whether from the overcast sky... or from burning tanks or exploding missiles and artillery. Cranes flying over the battlefield flew to avoid the gray clouds, occasionally swooping down to avoid passing fighter jets. The calls of the cranes briefly distracted Vasily. As he walked, he crouched down near a suitable spot to wait for passing enemies. He gazed enviously at the birds, thinking they really didn't need to worry about this war. However, Vasily was shocked to see the flock of cranes scattered by the passing fighter jets, which made him reconsider his statement.
